How is compensatory time calculated for non-exempt employees?

If compensatory time is granted instead of cash:

  • Hours worked between 37.5 and 40.0 earn hour-for-hour compensatory time (regular comp time).
  • Hours worked over 40.0 earn one and one-half (1.5) hours of compensatory time for each hour worked (premium comp time).
