What is Paid Parental Leave under the parental leave policy?

Paid Parental Leave is absence from work with pay for up to six (6) workweeks during a twelve (12) month period for the birth of the employee’s child or the placement of a child with the employee for adoption, if the employee is eligible. Paid parental leave must be paid at one hundred percent (100%) of the employee’s salary and must not be charged to sick, annual, or other leave the employee may have accumulated.
