Yes, employees may use up to three (3) days of sick leave for the death of certain relatives when bereavement leave is not available. These relatives include:
- Siblings
- Grandparents
- Grandchildren
- Parents-in-law
- Foster parents
- Stepparents
- Stepchildren
- Foster brothers and sisters
- Brothers-in-law
- Sisters-in-law
- Sons-in-law
- Daughters-in-law
This provision applies only to relatives who do not qualify for Bereavement Leave under the policy.
