Yes. Certified Red Cross disaster volunteers may receive up to 15 workdays per calendar year of administrative leave with pay to perform specialized disaster relief services. This does not affect other leave balances.
The employee must submit a written Red Cross request with details to the appointing authority for approval. Employees on irregular schedules must be placed on a regular schedule (7.5 or 8.0 hours/day) while using this leave. Holidays/off days do not count toward the 15 days.
