- Verbal Warning
- Given for minor issues
- Documented but not placed in your personnel file
- Written Warning
- Given for more serious or repeated issues
- Goes in your file and may be reviewed by the Appointing Authority
- Can be removed from your file after 2 years if no further issues occur
- Suspension Without Pay
- Can last up to 30 calendar days in a 12-month period
- May be extended with approval during an appeal process
- Demotion
- You may be moved to a lower position if unable to perform your job or due to serious conduct issues
- Dismissal
- You may be let go for serious or ongoing performance or conduct problems
- Preferred service employees get 10 days paid notice (not required during probation)
