What are some examples of conduct that may lead to discipline?

Here are common reasons:

  • Repeated lateness or absenteeism
  • Poor job performance or negligence
  • Misuse of State equipment or property
  • Insubordination or refusal to follow directions
  • Reporting to work under the influence
  • Falsifying documents
  • Sharing confidential info
  • Possession of unauthorized weapons or drugs
  • Violating the TN or Federal Hatch Acts (political activity)

This list isn’t all-inclusive. Discipline depends on the severity of the issue.
