What should I do if I plan to resign or retire?

If you plan to resign or retire from Tennessee State Government, you should:

  1. Provide a two-week notice to your supervisor.
  2. Fill out the Notice of Resignation/Retirement Form.
  3. Submit a signed resignation letter to your HR office.

 

Additionally, work with your supervisor to wrap up projects, transfer knowledge, and arrange the return of State-issued equipment. Retirees may keep their State ID badge but must return all other equipment.
