To receive Spousal Veterans Preference, submit:
- A copy of the veteran’s DD214 (Member 4 or Service 2) or another official document showing an honorable discharge
- Proof of being a qualified Tennessee voter or proof of residency in Tennessee for the two (2) years preceding the application
- Documentation supporting one of the following:
- The veteran has a 100% service-connected disability or is permanently and totally disabled, or
- The veteran died in the line of duty and the surviving spouse has not remarried
Documents must be provided with your application to receive the preference.
