Does this affect how I am paid?

If an employee chooses to hold accrued leave while on leave under the FMLA, an employee will be in a leave without pay status (LWOP) during their FMLA absence once their remaining accrued leave is exhausted. Their held leave will remain in their leave balance for other uses.
