How much time can I take for PFL absences? What if I need more leave?

Employees may take up to six (6) workweeks of Paid Family Leave (PFL) within a twelve (12) month period.

If an employee chooses to take additional time off under other leave entitlements beyond the six (6) workweek entitlement (i.e., Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)), this time will not be counted as PFL, and the employee will have to use their accrued leave or leave without pay for the additional time off.
