What is FLSA administrative leave with pay for exempt employees?

Employees who are exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) are not covered by overtime rules. Their pay must follow the FLSA salary basis rules in Title 29, Part 541, Section 541.602.

 

An exempt employee who works less than a full day during the workweek must be paid for the entire day, except for specific situations described in the policy.

 

The workweek for most state employees runs from 12:01 a.m. Sunday to 12:01 a.m. the following Sunday.
