Compensatory time is paid time off earned when an employee works more than their regular weekly schedule. It applies to:
• exempt, non-executive employees
• non-exempt employees whose overtime is not paid in cash
The extra hours must be approved and requested by the supervisor.
Compensatory time is earned weekly and cannot be transferred to any other type of leave.
