Extended leave may be approved for:
- Special leave
- Parental leave
- Educational or personal educational leave
- Division of Claims Administration leave
- Sick Leave Bank leave
- Military leave
The effective date of extended leave is the first full day the employee is without pay.
A copy of the appointing authority’s approval—or military orders, if applicable—must be sent to the Department of Human Resources.
