Employees on full-time education or training may receive up to 75% of their regular salary during the leave period.
If the State requires an employee to obtain additional formal education for their job duties, the employee may be paid full salary with prior approval from the Commissioner of Human Resources and the Commissioner of Finance and Administration.
When employees receive outside funding (such as fellowships or grants), total salary during the education and training period may not exceed their regular salary.
A notarized statement listing all salary funding and sources must be submitted to both Commissioners for approval.
