If coverage is suspended during FMLA leave, it can be reinstated when the employee returns to work. The employee may choose to:
• Retroactively reinstate coverage to the suspension date (once premiums are paid in full), allowing claims during that period to be reimbursed, or
• Reinstate coverage effective the first of the month after returning to work, in which case BA will refund any agency premiums deducted during the suspension.
