The FMLA Coordinator may request recertification of an employee’s medical condition as needed, but generally no more often than every 30 days.
Recertification may be requested sooner if:
1. The employee requests an extension of leave.
2. Circumstances change significantly from the original certification.
3. The Coordinator receives information conflicting with the validity of the certification.
For more information, visit the State of Tennessee Attendance and Leave Manual.
