Yes. If intermittent or reduced leave is needed for planned medical treatment—for the employee, a family member, or a covered service member—the appointing authority may temporarily transfer the employee to another position that:
• Has equivalent pay and benefits,
• Is better suited for the recurring leave schedule, and
• Does not discourage or create hardship for the employee.
