How long can Military Caregiver Leave be taken?

The 26-week period begins on the first day the employee takes leave for this reason and ends 12 months later—separate from the standard 12-month FMLA calendar year.
Employees can take up to 26 total workweeks of FMLA leave in that 12-month period, but only 12 weeks may be used for other FMLA-qualifying reasons.
