Yes. Leave taken for pregnancy, prenatal care, or chronic health conditions qualifies as FMLA leave even if:
• The employee or family member does not visit a health care provider, and
• The absence lasts less than three days.
Examples:
• An employee misses work due to a home-treated asthma attack.
• An employee is absent for severe morning sickness.
Both qualify as FMLA leave.
