What counts as continuing treatment by a health care provider?

Continuing treatment includes:
1.    A condition lasting more than three consecutive days with:
o    Two or more in-person treatments within 30 days of the first day of incapacity, or
o    One treatment followed by a supervised regimen (like prescribed medication or therapy).
2.    Pregnancy or prenatal care.
3.    Chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or epilepsy that require periodic visits (at least twice a year).
4.    Long-term conditions (e.g., Alzheimer’s, severe stroke, terminal illness) that require ongoing supervision.
5.    Multiple treatments or recovery periods (e.g., chemotherapy, dialysis, physical therapy).
