Usually, yes. If you request annual leave and have comp time available, comp time is used first—unless your annual leave balance at the start of the pay period is within two days of the maximum.
- “Two days” = 15.0 hours (37.5-hr) or 16.0 hours (40-hr)
If within two days of max at the start of the pay period, you may use annual leave until you drop below the two-day buffer, then use comp time for the rest of the pay period.
Service groups change on the 1st of the month; use the new max to determine eligibility.
