Can employees use annual leave for employee association meetings?

Yes. Members of a dues-deductible employee association may use 2 days of annual leave each year to attend statewide meetings/conferences (Tenn. Code Ann. § 8-50-110).

Board members of such associations may receive up to 12 days of administrative leave per calendar year to attend board meetings (Tenn. Code Ann. § 8-50-110(c)).
