How does daylight savings time affect shift employees?

Daylight Savings Time follows the Uniform Time Act:

  • Spring (clocks move forward): Employees working at 2:00 a.m. lose one hour but get credit for a full shift.
  • Fall (clocks move back): Employees working at 2:00 a.m. gain one hour and are paid for that hour.

This extra hour counts toward overtime eligibility for that week.
