Why didn’t a DHS Case Number generate?

If the Agency I-9 Coordinator sets “E-Verify/Submit to DHS” to No, the I-9 will not route to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This is expected system behavior.

Resolution: The Agency I-9 Coordinator can send the I-9 to DHS by using the Case Action: Initiate eVerify. This will send the I-9 to DHS and generate a DHS Case Number.

Delays can occur (up to 30 minutes). If still missing after 30 minutes, contact Edison Help Desk to open a high-priority ticket.
