What happens if I mark “Is Receipt” as Yes?

The I-9 will not be routed to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

If it was a true replacement receipt:
When the employee brings the valid document, use Case Action: Correct I-9 to update the document info and toggle Is Receipt = No, attach the valid document, then select Case Action: Initiate E-Verify.

If you accidentally marked it Yes for an ADIT-stamp I-94 or Refugee I-94:
Immediately use Case Action: Correct I-9 to toggle Is Receipt = No, confirm the List A entry, attach the document, and Initiate E-Verify by Day 3.

If you mistakenly marked it Yes and neither of the above apply:

Use Case Action: Correct I-9 to update the document info and toggle Is Receipt = No, attach the valid document, then select Case Action: Initiate E-Verify.
