Can one relative supervise another relative?

No, Tennessee Code Annotated Section 8-31-103 prohibits a relative from directly supervising another relative. Relatives cannot be placed within the same direct line of supervision where one is responsible for overseeing the other's job performance or work activities. However, relatives can work within the same governmental entity as long as they are not in a direct supervisory relationship.
